The choice of wings for your foil depends on many factors and requires a little understanding of the sport.Some of these factors:

- More efficient downwind
- More efficient at high speed and in waves
- More responsive and tight turns
- Faster, but harder to master
- Less effective with pumping displacement

- Slower, but easier to master
- Less responsive, wider turns
- Easier when pumping
- Easier to enter and stay in foil mode (requires less speed)
